Download the 2 files in the download directory and unzip to a directory your going to remember. Got them Ok we are ready to move on. 1. Create a directory solely for our exploit. E.g. c:\Exploit 2. Copy Cdvd.Irx , Expinst.elf and system.cnf and the files folder into the directory you just created. 3. Make a note of your PS1 cd Tilte number for example Final fantasy 8 is sles-02080 well we change this for our purposes to SLES_020.80 Write it down and anymore ps1 numbers you have got. (sometims it will have a - instead of a _) 4. click start \ Run 5. Locate your titleman.exe from the cogswap.zip you downloaded and unzipped earlier. 6. click on titleman.exe once then click in run box at the end of the writting. Delete the .exe and replace it with -a ID NUMBER OF YOUR PS1 GAME. For example inside the run box should read titleman -a slus_1234.56 Repeat this step until you have copied all your ps1 disk ids into the title.db 7. Copy the title.db Into your c:\exploit folder 8.Create a files folder inside your c:\exploit one and then Copy the files that you unzipped earlier from the files.zip straight into your c:\exploit folder\files 9. Next open up the CDGenPS2.exe file included in the cogswapper.zip 10. Drag these files into cdgenps2 in the order specified 11. c:\exploit\System.cnf c:\exploit\expinst.elf c:\exploit\cdvd.irx c:\exploit\title.db c:\exploit\files 12. On CDGenps2 click img to the left and once it is finished you cab burn the file Using your favourite software . 13. Get a lend of or go around to your mates house who has either a chipped ps2 an action replay/modchip ps2 or someone with swap magic 2 or 3 cd disks. 14. Put your Memory card in slot 1. Boot ps2 as you would for playing a game. now instead of putting a backup game in place your exploit cd in instead press x and wait for about 1 min you will see the progress on screen. 15. To test it out now keeping your memory card in slot 1 Get your Ps1 Disk that we used the id number from. 16. Put it in ps2 and boot as normal. 17. The screen will flash white and a green screen will appear with a disk in the middle. 18. Press eject and put in any ps2 disk ( blue disk if your playing a cd based backup or silver if yourplaying a dvd backup if its a dvd rip still put in a blue one) 19. when the disk stops spinning press o once. 20. when it stops spinning swap disks put in your backup and press x and away you go. 21. Do not press eject for the last swap unless you have a chip or something in your ps2 this is the reason why we cut the case earlier. place the backup disk in via the new roof we made. REMEMBER ALWAYS PUT THE WHITE MAGNETIC DISK ON TOP OF DISKS BEFORE YOU SET THEM OFF SPINNING. |
