Carefully remove the lid taking care when half way to remove the reset / eject buttons from the cover. This doesnt matter on version 9 Ps2s as this isnt housed in the cover. Now with a fine tipped Star screw driver remove the cover that goes over the dvd drive, This is the black rectangle with the white disk in the middle, dont worry if you cant see the disk sometimes this is covered from the top with a sticker.Once removed take the white disk out and keep it safe for now thentake your Ps2 cover outside or somewhere away from your open vulnerable Ps2 and Cut it with a hacksaw ( Something like the one above ) but this design is up to you as long as you can get a cd in and out. Be careful to make sure you dont cut any of the case away from the other side as this houses live wires and the heat sink and could make turning your ps2 on and off a little hazardous to your health. Once cut to size sand or file the edges to make sure there is no bits going to drop off into the ps2s inner workings and then put back on the opposite way to what you removed it.
