The Town ‘n’ Country Fair is held the second Saturday in August pending volunteer help.

For many years the fair was co-sponsored by the Fort Vermilion and Rocky Lane Agricultural Societies. It featured a Bench Show of agricultural and horticultural crops, culinary creations, needlework, arts, crafts and school work. Special awards were given for urban and rural landscaping.

A pancake breakfast, farmers market, mini-trade show for home-based businesses, horseshoe tournament, garden tractor rodeo and other children’s activities round out the day.

In recent years,  the Fort’s Agricultural Society has been assisting Rocky Lane with their Farmers Day Event held each June with the annual 4H Achievement Day and Beef Sale.

The two events are different and volunteers are welcomed to insure their continued success!
