	Photo by Marilee Cranna Toews, Fort Vermilion The owners of the Sheridan Lawrence Hotel started River Daze as promotional canoe races. Over a 22 year period the event has grown to include canoe, raft and boating events as well as an Ironman Contest. The Ironman is a four person relay of biking, canoeing, running and swimming. Headquarters for River Daze is the “S.S. D.A. Thomas Park”.
