LAMP Mercy Flight (1979)

The Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots (LAMP) organized a fund-raising event which commemorated the "Mercy Flight" to Fort Vermilion in January 1929.  The purpose of the original flight was to bring the necessary antitoxin needed to avert a diphtheria epidemic.

LAMP sponsored Vacation Bible Schools throughout northern Canada including several at Fort Vermilion, Rocky Lane, Zama and Chipewyan Lake in Alberta.
