In the
process of building a complete robot over the course of six weeks many
teams opt to divide the task into a number of subsystems. The subsystems
generally consist of a drive train, chassis, wheels, and any appendages
that the robot might require.
Drive Train consists of
the drive motors, gearboxes, and any transmissions included providing
propulsion to the robot.
The Chassis consists of all the mounting and framework assembly
for the entire robot.
The Wheels consist of any and all surfaces
that contact the ground to provide adequate traction for propulsion.
