Team 1730 Rookie Resources

Welcome to Team 1730's Rookie Resource Center

Team Organization:

Team Organization is required to make any team work more efficiently to become successful.

Management

Management structure should contain a superior officer along with the leaders of all the subsections of the team. Following FIRST's theology, this might be a board of upper-level students that meet to guide the team through the year

Logistics

The logistics portion of a team should not be neglected. FIRST teams should encourage the formation of the group to monitor progress, identify awards deadlines, gather information, and insure compliance with all FIRST rules.

Build Team

The build team is normally the largest and is heavily involved in the building, machining, and maintenance of the robot. The team should have one leader overseeing the construction of the robot to maintain the quality of workmanship and the time schedule.

Engineering graphics and animation

The engineering graphics and animation team should be adequately connected to the build team often working together to combat and solve a problem.

Programming and electronics

Although the programming and electronics portion of the robot can be accomplished after the build and engineering graphics have finished with it, it is advisable the programming and electronics be connected to the teams involved with the build to allow for the rapid development and testing of control code.

Image design and public relations

Image design and public relations team is placed in charge of building and maintaining the team website, seeking donations, ordering tee-shirts, and preparing handouts for regional competitions.
