Welcome Address
Welcome to Forestville Military Academy. As the new principal, I would like to take this time to introduce myself to you. My name is James Smallwood, and I am a resident of the Forestville community.
I am honored and excited about the opportunity to serve as the principal of Forestville Military Academy and to be an integral part of guiding the Academy on its journey to become a successful school of the 21st century. My focus will be to help transform Forestville Military Academy into a model school of excellence through a committed staff, a safe and orderly environment, and the hands on participation of the community.
I am committed to the success of 'FMA' by setting high expectations and standards of achievement for students and staff. Through these high expectations and standards, I will expect all students to become productive and successful individuals upon completing their tenure at Forestville Military Academy.

It is a pleasure to welcome everyone back to school and start this year
with all of our students as cadets at Forestville Military Academy.
This is the first year that all of our students will be in uniform and
members of the Corps of cadets. Expectations are high this year for
academic success as well as setting the standards for other schools.
Our task is difficult, but working together we can and will be one of the best schools in the County and provide an excellent environment for the cadets to achieve academic success in all areas. Parents/ guardians, teachers, staff and administrators working together will have a goal of achieving new heights as we start the school year.
I want to thank all of you for your dedication, hard work and support in the past and ask for that same commitment this year and in the future. I look forward to working with you!
