PTSA SCHOLARSHIP

Forestville Military Academy's Parent Teacher Student Association is offering a scholarship to a FMA senior.  Consideration will be given to a FMA senior entering an accredited college, university or trade school. 

Scholarship Criteria
� Academic Achievement
� Extracurricular Activities
� Volunteer Work with the FMA PTSA
� Volunteer Work at FMA
� Community Involvement
� Written Narrative (250 - 300 words type page - "On How you would Bridge the Gap with Parents, Teachers, & Students at FMA")
� Two Recommendation Letters

The recipient must:
� Be graduating from FMA in 2005 school year
� Be a Prince George's County Resident
� Have a GPA of 2.5 or better
� Submit an application, typed narrative, official school transcript, & recommendation letters by postmark date no later than May 1, 2005

Amount of Scholarship
The PTSA Scholarship amount will be based on available funds and donations to the PTSA Scholarship Funding.  The PTSA Scholarship will be distributed directly to the scholarship recipient's college, university, or trade school.

Selection Process
The FMA PTSA Selection Committee will be responsible for reviewing all scholarship receipt's information and making a determination of who will be the final winner or winners of the PTSA Scholarship. Notification of the Committee's selection will be sent to each applicant from the PTSA no later than May 18, 2005.  Each applicant must agree that the decision of the PTSA Scholarship Committee is final and not open to appeal.
