WELCOME TO FONTENADA CHAPTER, NSDAR
Our chapter was organized on March 12, 1958, with seventeen

Montgomery, Vice Regent Mrs. John Keast, Chaplain Mrs. Najel Lawrence, Recording
Secretary Mrs. Harold Johnson, Corresponding Secretary Mrs. Ralph Loomis,
Treasurer Mrs. Leonard Montgomery, Registrar Mrs. Palmer Bigelow, Historian Mrs.
Donald Wilson, and Librarian Mrs. Clella Ingersoll.
The chapter name, "Fontenada," was derived from the
autobiography, "Memoirs of Hernando de'Esdalante Fontaneda," who recorded
the first written history of early Florida.
