Fontenada Chapter

GOALS FOR FONTENADA

Our Chapter's Goal: Strengthen our Membership.

Fontenada's members promote and educate others on genealogy, history and the United States of America. Our philosophy and approach is to provide the tools, resources and environment that empower individuals to uncover and share their unique family stories.

Fontenada's meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month from September to May. Four meetings per year are held on Saturdays for the benefit of our ladies who work, or are unable to attend our meetings during the week.

Any woman is eligible for membership in the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution who is not less than eighteen years of age, and who is a lineal descendant from of a man or woman who, with unfailing loyalty to the cause of American Independence, served as a sailor, or a soldier or civil officer in one of the several Colonies or States, or in the United Colonies of States or as a recognized patriot, or rendered material aid thereto.

The Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) helps to train our future generations to be good citizens, to develop leadership, and to promote the love of the United States of America and its heritage. The C.A.R. Society in Broward County is the Swamp Fox Society. A child is eligible from birth through age 22, and who has an ancestor who served in the American Revolution. This is an opportunity for parents and children to enjoy serving together.

May God bless our homes, our families, and our America.
