Ryder is quite the character!  I have never met a dog that was so expressive as him.  A big thank you goes out to Dave & Vicky Piercy of Daviks Siberians for this wonderful boy.  He has added much laughter to our household.  There have been many times that I have been raging mad at him and then I bust out laughing at him because of the look on his face.  You just have to know him to know what I’m talking about.

Ryder is a very independent dog, but yet very lovable.  He will come up and cuddle when you ask him too, and gives lots of kiss, but yet he is quite content hanging out by himself.  Even when he interacts with other dogs, you can often find him wondering off by himself on a Ryder mission.

His most favourite game is 'Keep Away'.  He LOVES to steal the ball from the aussies, and get them to chase him around.  Once he gets that ball, they have quite the hard time getting it back from him.  If he can engage them into a game of this, than it makes him very happy.

Ryder at the March 2008 NL Conformation show.  What nice range and movement!

Ryder has had a very short career in conformation thus far.  During this short period he has done outstanding!!  He received his CKC Championship title Spring 2008, in just 4 weekends of shows! A HUGE thank you to his handler Pamela Skanes, owner of The Furr Factory Dog Spaw. They make a fantastic team!

During his short show career, Ryder has won multiple BOBs, multiple BPOBs, multiple BPIGs, a BIG, & a Best Puppy in Show (BPIS)!!!  Ryder will be taking time off to mature before he will be shown as a Special.  Watch for him in the years to come.

We had a fantastic winter with Ryder in sled training. He pulls like a tank, and is super excited in harness. He ran lead with his aussie brother Q, and they make a great pair. The two boys at lead, with Halo at wheel make a fantastic, crazy fast team! We look forward to more training this summer. Go to our sledding page to see a video of the trio.

This Spring/Summer (2008), Ryder has also been training for agility.  Right now it's just on a fun level, but who knows where things might go.  He is really enjoying it so far, and as long as I have his favourite squeaky ball he'll do anything I ask.  He truly is a sweet, funny boy.  Our "Ryder Man", as we like to call him.
