Hello!!  My name is Robyn Hynes, and I'm 25 years old.  My husband, 24, is named Lawrence Hynes.  Recently, we have moved ourselves from Frenchman's, Newfoundland to the County of Thorhild, Alberta.  We are about a 30 min drive to Edmonton, AB.  We both were born and raised on the West Coast of Newfoundland, but Lawrence has been working in AB for over the pass year, while me and dogs stayed in NL.  We decided it was finally time to relocate to AB.  We are finally going to be able to train and compete in dogsports like we have always dreamed!  Here's to new beginnings!!

We both got into dogs heavily back in 2003.  We have both always had a love for dogs, but knew nothing about them. 

In 2002 we got our first dog, a Border Collie mix named Max.  We did every possible wrong thing with this dog, and it was through our efforts of trying to fix him that we met Lisa Giroux, of K9station, who introduced us to the wonderful world of dogs!!

After we did our first obedience class we were hooked.  Lisa then invited us to try out flyball, a dogsport, with her and some of her friends.  It was AMAZING!  It was tons of fun, and Max just loved it.  It was something that really gave his busy mind a work out.

That following winter we moved back to St. John's, NL, and started training flyball on our own.  We really didn't want Max to fall behind, as we had plans to move back to the West Coast of Newfoundland that summer.  Aug. 2004 we attended our first ever flyball tournament in Nova Scotia with our team, the Newfie Bullet.  We race for exhibition only, but it was an experience none of us would forget.

Since then I have done several obedience classes at various levels.  Instructed many flyball classes in St. John's, NL.  Have done multiple seminars in obedience, agility, flyball, disc, and dog management.  As well, all my dogs have various titles; conformation, obedience, herding, and disc, and there's plenty more to come.

My true love is the Australian Shepherd, and we will focus on this breed.  We plan to prove our dogs' outstanding versatility, and how they are great examples of the breed by competing in several venues in the years to come.  We also plan to do some hobby breeding in the near future.
