| FOCUS (For Our Children U Save) recognizes that our children have many challenges in life they will eventually have to face. Yet many of our children are facing challenges that they should never have to face. We must take responsibility for the care of our children. Whatever we can do to help, we should do so.
FOCUS believes strongly that one way to help our children is to understand how they may become infected with HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), what steps should be taken to prevent it from happening, and how we should treat our children who have already been exposed to the virus.
FOCUS hopes this national community awareness project, Our Children and AIDS, will contribute significantly to further educate people about HIV and AIDS with regard to our children.

Introduction
