Wli Water Falls
In Anloga during November,
all Ewes from
all over the nation and abroad come together to celebrate the "Hogbetsotso"
Festival. This festival symbolises the Ewes' excape from their
wicked ruler, King Agorkorli of Notsie in Togo to their present
home. During the festival, libations are poured to give thanks to
the Ancestors and ask for blessings. Many Rituals are performed
during this Festival. The Awumefia,King of the Anlos sits
in full Royal Regalia and receives allegiance from his
subchiefs. Could you believe the Anlos walked backwards during
their escape to confuse the wicked king. Now that was smart,
right!!
At Kete-Krachi, a town along the Volta
Lake, you can go fishing in the evening when the sun is about to
set. It is then that you see the marvelous beauty of nature. On
your way from the Volta Region, Stop by Tefle, near Sogakope to
collect some of the most beautifully designed Pottery wares in
the world. There are so many, you might get a bit uneasy as to
which to choose..
