Interested In Playing Soccer On a Homeschool Team?
Then consider joining the Family Life Ministries Homeschool Soccer Team!
The 2006 season starts Monday, July 24th at Big Flats Community Park. Come be a part of our team! Any homeschooled student in grades 7th-12th is welcome to play. Our program includes a Varsity team, which competes competitively in the Co-Ed division of the Western New York Christian Athletics Association league (WNYCAA), and a Junior Varsity team, which plays a number of games with local recreational and school teams. The season runs from late July through the end of October. More information on the team is available on the About The Team section of the website.

Eligibility:: Any homeschooled student in grades 7th-12th
First Practice:: Monday, July 24th
Practice Days:: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.
We may be scheduling additional practices & scrimmages on Friday or Saturday mornings.
Practice Times:: 6:00 - 8:00pm for the first two weeks or so.
In early August we will be moving to 3:30 - 5:30 for the rest of the season.
Location:: Big Flats Community Park field (closest to the parking lot)
Corner of Route 352 and Winters Road, Big Flats, NY
Bring:: Soccer cleats (or other appropriate shoes)
Shin guards are REQUIRED
Soccer ball (Size 5)
Lots of water!
Cost:: $75.00 for Varsity & double-rostered players (both Varsity & JV); $35.00 for JV
Multi-player family discount; maximum fee not to exceed $125.
Season:: Runs from mid-late July through the end of October. Games/scrimmages begin in late August/early September. The Varsity team plays approximately 10-12 games, with playoffs and a championship at the end of the season, and also participates in the annual New York State Homeschool Tournament. JV plays approximately 6-8 games and scrimmages, and some players are asked to play for Varsity at certain games.
Travel:: Practices and some scrimmages for both Varsity and JV are located at Big Flats Community Park. Our league home games for Varsity are held at the Family Life Ministries facility, in Kanona, NY (near Bath), with away games being held outside and around the Rochester area. JV games are usually located at Big Flats, Elmira, and the Family Life Ministries field in Kanona. The team also participates in the NYS Homeschool Tournament, which is located in Macedon, NY.

Registration deadline is Monday, August 14th!
Please bring a completed Registration Form to the first practice (See the Forms & Requirements page for form and other details). If you are interested in playing, or for more information, contact Coach David Forrest or team manager Kathi Rog. Feel free to pass this on to any homeschooler you think would be interested! We will be having a parent's informational meeting on Monday, August 14th.
