Peaches
Peaches
is a 3 year old female who is good with children and other dogs
and cats.
Adoption pending as of 7/27/04
Hi,
my name is Peaches – I am an apricot female.
WOW! I never knew
Florida was anything but beaches. My foster mom, Rebecca, brought
me to this beautiful place in Brooksville, Florida – it has lots
of trees (which provide me with all of the sticks I want!), a
shallow creek to cool off in, and all the critters a mastiff could
chase (squirrels, lizards, snakes, birds). I even have a mastiff
friend, Newt. He’s my buddy…the first day I met him he let me
have a piece of hot dog right out of his mouth. I’m sure he wasn’t
going to eat it. He didn’t even get mad at me – that’s when I
knew we would be good friends. I also have a human sister named
Kristina. She lets me go on bike rides with her – well, she rides
and I run – something I LOVE to do and have a lot of room to do
it! She also plays football with me, though I recently bit too
hard and popped it. That’s okay – we still play with it!
I’m very petite, only about 107 lbs. – Newt is a big, strong guy
at 200 lbs. so he lets me snuggle up to him at night when we’re
sleeping. I love bones – big beef bones. The neighbors say they
look like body parts laying around the yard. I say Big toys for
Big dogs!
My new mom and dad, Marissa and Falk, take me for lots and lots
of walks, mostly Falk. Sometimes they get mad at me because I
don’t come when they call me. I’m so busy exploring and chasing
things, I guess I don’t hear them. I still get my hair up when
I meet new people and new animals but I’m slowly learning not
to.
I’m a lucky girl to have found a forever home!
Peaches came to live with us in
early August 2004 and what a joy she is! She is full of energy
and loves to run and explore all over our property. Her favorite
activity is finding sticks, toys, and previously buried bones
to play with. She has adapted to her new home and people so well.
Thank you Mastiff Rescue!
