How to find'em
Chocobo: Buy at the Walz Magic Store.

Sylph: Buy at the Walz Magic Store.

Remora: Buy at the Walz Magic Store.

Shiva: (1st World ONLY) First, go to Walz Castle. From the entrance, go down the staircase just to the right of the double doors. From there, exit through the lower right door. Now that you are out of the castle, go up and go through the waterfall to enter the Water Tower. Just follow the layed-out path and you will eventually reach Shiva. Defeat her and you will receive the Shiva summon.

Ramuh: (1st World ONLY) In the far northeastern town called Easterly Village, a villager says that some old guy in the eastern woods has powerful thunder magic. So go to the woods east of the village across the bridge. Wonder around until you run into a battle with him. Defeat him and you get the Ramuh summon.

Ifrit: You can't miss it (literally). You end up having to fight this guy in the Library of Ancients. So don't worry about finding this guy.

Titan: This is another one that you can't miss. You'll end up fighting Titan when you try getting all the Adamantite.

Golem: If you didn't know this was a summon, you would most likely have passed it. Golem is in the Valley of the Dragons. You may have encountered him toward the base of the mountain as an enemy called '????'. Don't worry about him there, wait until you get closer to the top of the mountain. When you get higher up on the mountain, you will probably encounter him again. Only this time, the other enemies are attacking him! Golem will cry out for help, so help him! Quickly defeat his surrounding opponents and leave Golem alone. After little bit, Golem will thank you, the battle will end, and you will get Golem (as an item). Go into your Item inventory and use Golem to make him one of your summons.

Shoat: (2nd World ONLY) To get Shoat, you will first need to get a submarine. When get one, go underwater and head for the little dot on the map that is farthest northwest. Reserface in cave and head down the tunnel and exit the cave. Walk around in the forest a bit until you run into Shoat. Kill him quick before he stones all your guys (it's a good idea to have someone wearing a ribbon to ensure he does not stone everyone). Defeat him and you get Shoat (as a item). Go to your Item inventory and use Shoat to make him one of your summons. While you're in the woods, go meet Boco's future wife in the chocobo forest. ^_^

Carbuncl: (2nd World ONLY) Carbuncle is located in Exdeath's Castle in the 2nd World. In the castle, you will eventually run into a room that has a bunch of skull tiles on the ground, along with a ton of trapdoors (make sure you have a Geomancer). Being cautious about the trapdoors, make you way to top skull. Step on it, and you will teleport to the room with Carbuncle. Defeat him and you'll get Carbuncl.

Hydra: When the 2 worlds come together, make sure you have Faris and Reina in your party, and return to the pirates hideout. Just to the right of the entrance, there will be a scene with Faris and Hydra. Hydra gives her powers to Faris as a summon.

Odin: Remember the locked basement door in the Val Castle? Well, it's still locked, but now there is a way to get passed it. Enter the Jachol Caves located just a little west of Val Castle. When you enter the cave, there will be a bunch of switches. Make your way down to where there are a row of switches. Watch the switches for a few seconds before all but one of them disapear. Hurry up and flick the switch! This will reveal another path back up. Go up the path until you reach a locked door. You will see a chest close by. Go up and check the chest to unlock the door. Just keep going until you reach a dead end. From there, climb the wall to get into the basement of Val Castle! Go down and unlock the door, then go down into the next door and save it! Head back to where you first came into the basement, only this time, head north. You will eventually come across Odin. You have 1 minute to defeat him. If you fail...game over.

Phoenix: This is a tough one. Getting to the Phoenix Tower isn't too hard, all you have to do is the Black Chocobo from Mirage Villiage to the patch of forest in the really big desert. From there, you need to walk on foot southwest to get to the Phoenix Tower. To get Phoenix, you must climb 30 flights of stairs, and many of the staircases are hidden just a little to the left or just a little to the right of the center pillar. All the enemies are tough and there are absolutely NO save points to help you out. Anyway, sometime after you reach the top (if you reach the top), you'll be asked if you want to cut the Dragon's tougue. NO!!!!!! Don't cut it!!! If you do, you will have worked your way up the tower for nothing because if you say 'yes' you won't get the Phoenix summon. When you get the summon, use 'Telepo' to teleport out of there.

Leviathan: Before you can obtain the 4th Lithograph in Easterly Falls, you will have to face Leviathan. Defeat him and you get him as a summon.

Bahamut: To get Bahamut, you must first get the Black Chocobo from Mirage villiage and fly it to the small patch of forest in the really big desert (just like getting the Phoenix). This time, you need to walk on foot northeast. There you will find North Mountain. Go up to the top of North Mountain and Bahamut will fight you. This guy is a bit tough. When you beat him, you recieve the most powerful summon in the game, Bahamut!
