Finding the Toad Spell...
Many people tend to miss this one during the game. If you did, you can easily buy it at Mirage Village's magic shop for 300 gil. But if you were wondering where you get it in the first place, then read on...
The Toad spell is obtainable in Easterly Village in the first world. On the western side of the village is a square patch of flowers. Walk in a circle around the flowers until a toad pops out. The toad drops the "Toad" spell for you to use.
