C457 XDU - The Rebuild
I bought the car in October 2004 from a classic car dealer in Nottingham. Described as one of only three built, it came with a full MOT so I knew I had plenty of time to enjoy the car before the angle grinder was needed.....how time flies!

You'd think fitting a new bonnet (�50 pattern) would be a 10 minute job. Try 3 hours!! All 4 fixing bolts sheared off leaving the thread in the captive nuts. A blowtorch, WD40, pipegrips and a lot of swearing had it finished...eventually.
   The bonnet was fitted first as the original was damaged & wasn't good to line new wings up with.
