Spira, once a thriving world of technology powered by Machina. Now it is illegally used by a group of men and women who defy Yevon's teachings, the Al-Bhed. Yevon has consumed Spira into its ancient tales and beliefs into lies and dispair. Out of the commotion, an unstoppable trespasser, Sin, rises from the sea to destroy any Machina that is powerful enough to stop it.
Summoners are sent on a pilgrimage to collect Aeons to defeat Sin. Collecting all the Aeons from all temples across Spira allows the Summer to cast the Final Aeon, the ultimate weapon to destroy Sin. For the first time, a set of Summoners have succeeded and have saved Spira.
Tidus, a young Blitzball player from Zanarkand, lost his father 10 years ago after he went to stop Sin for the first time. After this time, Sin rises again and attacks Zanarkand. Tidus is sent to the future with help from Auron, where he must find a way back into his time and find out the truth of his father. |
