| Part Nine
I had not heard from her in over 2 months. I thought I was done with this. Then the unthinkable happened. She called again. She asked me I like this one guy at school, what should I do? I asked her why she is asking me and not her friends. She told me Well I trust you more. I was dumbfounded. So I asked, How long have you known your friends? She said 6 years. How long have you known me? About 6 months. Then I said, Oh ok, that makes perfect sense, continue. Then I got suspicious and asked her if it was anyone from my school. She said it was not and I was relieved, because Dan said if she ever got his number, I would have to die. So she kept asking, What should I do? I said Well first go on a 12 step program and try to get better, then just ask the guy out dumbass! she said Oh thank you Paul and then she hung up. Part Eleven She called again, and I now hated Cassy for jinxing this whole thing so she starts calling me again. So anyways, she called me up and the first thing she said was That 12 step program joke was not very funny. I was in awe that took her so long to figure out it was supposed to be an insult; it apparently just did not cross her mind. Then she told me that I am not much of a friend. I reminded her I only knew her for about 6 months and am already tired of her. She did not get it at first, so we got to talking and right in the middle of a conversation; she is like Hey that wasnt very nice either! I just said, Well done. That was a record time of two minutes this time. That quickly blew over though, and I asked how the asking the guy out thing went. She said, Well, he only likes me as a friend. I said, Hey Im surprised he didnt get a restraining order. She is like Why do I even talk to you? And I told her I was wondering the same thing. She is like You know what? I forgive you; youre too ignorant to realize that I mean the world to you. I said, Wow my world sucks, can you kill me? she was about to hang up the phone but I said, You know you always hang up the phone its my turn. Then I hung up the phone. |
