Stretch

This was the healing word uttered to the man with the withered hand (Matt.12:9-14).I am so very grateful that this was included in Jesus 'Gospel of
healing.It implies that there is always something for us to do. Often the reason we are not healed, even though we have great faith,is that we sit waiting for the miracle.
"There is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding"(Job 32:8).
Right now,no matter what the problem may be of mind,body,or affairs,there is a spirit in you,God's
Spirit, the wholeness of God is in you.And the inspiration of the Almighty is whispering into your
inner ear the understanding you need to take the next
logical step.
Often the "sin"that has caused the separation is an unwise use of our bodies.We may be eating the wrong,
foods,or simply overeating.We may be sadly in need of exercise or sunshine or fresh air.Perhaps our breathing is all wrong ,or our posture, or our whole way of living .
There is a breath or inspiriting of God in you that
will give you understanding.But you must expect to receive it. And you must be willing to "move your feet."You must expect to be guided.
An old Jewish legend vividly expresses the thought that faith cannot be passive but must be the expression of genuine inner activity.When Moses threw the wand into the Red Sea,the sea,quite
contrary to the expected miracle,did not divide itself to leave a dry passage for the Jews.Not until the last man had jumped into the sea did the promised miracle happen and the waves recede.
Your miracle of healing can come to you. But be sure that you are not simply waiting for the waters to part. You are now a spiritual being. Jump into the
stream and know it. Act as if you were already whole. And be humbly receptive and responsive to the inner leading that will surely come."Stretch forth your hand."

When Shall The Kingdom Come?

If you are a disciple of the Master, it is up to you to illumine
You do not have to groan over everything the world lacks;
you are there to bring it what it needs...There where reign
hatred, malice, and discord you will put love,pardon,and peace.For lying you will bring Truth; for despair,hope;for
doubt,faith;there where is sadness you will give joy.If you
are in the smallest degree the servant of God,all these virtues of light you will carry with you.Do not be frightened
by a mission so vast!It is not really you who are charged with the fulfillement of it .You are only the torch-bearer.The
fire ,even if it burns within you,even when it burns you,is
never lit by you.It uses you as it uses the oil of the lamp.
You hold it, feed it, carry it around; but it is the fire that works,that gives light to the world,and to yourself at the same time....
Do not be the clogged lantern that chokes and smothers the light; the lamp, timid,or ashamed, hidden under a bushel; flame up and shine before men; Lift high the fire of God.
How important is this realization! you do not have to groan over what the world lacks. Flame up and shine! This could be an answer to everyone today."In the world ye have tribulation ; but be of good cheer;I have overcome the world"(John 16:33) This was the key to Jesus'approach to
the world."I have gone upstairs.I have found the higher
regions of my own nature. Here I can keep my mind peaceful and I can also be an influence for peace in the
world around me."This doesn't mean that He went off on a cloud. It means that He had wisely taken the high road,
instead of the low road ,that He had determined to act from
greatness rather from weakness.This is the trail He blazed for us, and over which we must follow Him.
No matter where you are on the latter of life,no matter what you may be experiencing, no matter how many heartaches you have had or how many conflicts you have right now --
there is more in you,there is a divinity in you, The kingdom
of God is within you.You can release your potential, for
Jesus proved that you have it, and that you can release it.
This is what Jesus really taught.
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfet."(Mattew 5:48)
