Sub Plan Sample #1
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
I have found that the most effective way to be sure that students have correct and accurate directions for what to do when the sub is with the class is to provide them with a copy of the sub plans.  I make a copy of the Student Assignments for the students, let them know I will be gone, and that they will be responsible for completing the assignments with the substitute teacher.  The substitute teacher receives a copy of the Student Assignments in addition to the Sub Information.

For Reading:

--You will read independently (your AR book) for the entire class period.  If you need to take a test, let the teacher know (remember, only two people out at a time).  Remember to write in your reading logs in your folder before you return the book.  If there is no test, get a piece of binder paper, write the title, author, number of pages, and at least TEN facts about the book, then put that in your reading folder.
--Students put your folders in piles at their table groups; Ruth or Nery pick them up and put them away.
--Put your chairs up, and pick up any mess that was made.
