Sub Plans

My sub plans for each time I am away from the class change, but the SUB INFORMATION (below) always stays the same.  I keep a sub folder that includes the information below, seating charts, blank attendance sheets, and blank paper. Website Links:

SUB INFORMATION
Welcome to Room 2.  Thanks for coming in today!  If you require assistance, you can contact / send students to Mrs. Reimer or Mr. Garcia for "time-outs":
--Mr. Garcia (room 4 --> next door) ext. 4---
--Ms. Reimer (room 1 --> across the hall) ext. 4---
--Mrs. Lewis (vice-principal) ext. 4---

Health alerts
--Student X is diabetic.  On the bookshelf behind my desk by the globe is a ziploc bag that gives you more specific information.  If in doubt, send him to the nurse with another student.
--Student Y has bathroom privileges.  If she needs to use the restroom and the pass is out and she cannot wait, please write her a separate pass to go.
--Student Z is diabetic.  On the bookshelf behind my desk by the globe is a ziploc bag that gives you more specific information.  If in doubt, send him to the nurse with another student.

Classroom procedures
--I usually allow students to use their headphones (it helps many of them to concentrate.) However, if they are being disruptive with the headphones (too loud, passing them around), please let them know they are being inappropriate.  If the behavior continues, confiscate them and they can pick them up from me tomorrow.
--I usually allow students to have healthy, non-messy snacks and beverages.  If they become distracting, let them know, and you can confiscate those too if it continues.
--You dismiss the students, not the bell.  We dismiss by table groups usually; those who are cleaned up are instructed to push in their chairs and leave.  At the end of the day, please have students stack their chairs at the sides of the room so the custodians can vacuum (we don?t put them on the tables because they tend to fall off).

School policies
--Students are not allowed in the hallways during the first ten minutes of the period unless it is an emergency.
--Restroom use.  There is a pass and a sign-out sheet on the ledge of my desk.  Students are to sign-out, and use the pass one at a time.
