Sometimes this treasure comes from school; sometimes we learn hard lessons outside of school. And what we learn from family and relatives we love is extra special and precious because this learning is often about or from our own particular culture. Parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, and uncles often teach us the most important things in our lives. "We invite writers to write about learning in any way they wish, focusing on important relevant 'treasures'." Students are to write about how learning is a treasure in either poetry or personal narrative formats. There is no word limit to either form.
