Mission Committee

from Article VI of FCC Bylaws

The Mission Committee's Duties shall be:

To be responsible for receiving and acknowledging all mission gifts and recording all. To report on a monthly basis of funds spent on missions and give a small report for the newsletter each month.
To select suitable missions and respect the requests of the donors. The Mission Committee is responsible for educating the faith community about the missions we support and select new missions to support financially and through working volunteers.
To report to the Diaconate Board and obtain advice from them whenever uncertainties arise concerning receipts or expenditures of mission money, and missions we support.
To deliver monetary receipts to the Financial Secretary and obtain withdrawals from the Church Treasurer, who will maintain a separate balance of memorial monies.
To make a detailed report at the Annual Meeting explaining receipts and expenditures and educate the faith community on status of missions and people for the previous year.
