| Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat |
| my review: kids love it n adults won't cease to love it. it's my personal favourite of all the ALW musicals. i watched this twice n i'd definitely go for a third or forth or even a fifth for this piece. i don't really remember the first one for i was really young :p. but i do remember coming out of the theatre and kept bugging my father until he bought me the soundtrack :). (and it's the Jason Donovan cast too!) so i was in London the past summer with my brother who loves musicals even more than i do. and it just so happens that the ex-boyzone Stephen Gately was starring as Joseph in, well, Joseph. so my bro and i were like, wth, why not check it out right? it'd be fun to see an ex-boyband guy performing in a theater :p. it turned out to be good. like, good relative to expectations. his singing was good--i didn't except a guy from a boygroup to have a voice like that. n tickets were cheap ahha... we bought like half-priced tickets and we sat in the second row! heehee.. yea.. so definitely money well spent. my cousin enjoyed it as well and he was only 6 years old. he wouldn't stop singing (or at least try to sing) "any dream will do" for like 3 days until none of us could stand it anymore and literally ban him from singing it again. cast changes: Stephen Gately is no longer in the London cast. some guy from Steps took over (as of March 04). o well.. if the tickets are still half priced then it's still worth watching i guess. :p personal favs: close every door.. u know what this is tough i like all of them!! (i generally pick more than one.) (yea that's me up there with Stephen Gately. :p passed by the stage door n he was there. his fans were crazy. they seem to know every single move of the musical n wouldn't sit still at all. rather annoying i've to say.) |
