These pictures were taken on June 16, 1998- the day before I returned the car to the dealer. Hi, this is the car that I leased before I got the '99 Chrysler 300M. It was a Bright White Diamond Metallic color with Buick's Supercharged engine plus a ton of other goodies. There are many days when I wish I still had this car. Don't get me wrong, I like the 300M, but I've had my problems with the front end alignment which STILL isn't right. Going to a new dealer on November 30th to try and straighten it out following Chrysler's own TSB that was issued on this very problem. My previous dealer, Madison Chrysler-Plymouth in Madison, CT chose to "ignore" this bulletin for whatever reason and replace the rack and pinion steering assembly and the power steering pump on Sept. 30th as per the factory rep's suggestion- if you've read my earlier postings in Edmunds car site, you know how much I value his opinion! It seemed okay for about two weeks, but then on a trip to New Hampshire in October, the drifting problem returned. It's quite noticeable on the highway. While it's not as bad as it was before they replaced all those parts, it still wants to go left. The transmission on the Riviera was definitely SMOOTHER than the 300. I had no jerky, hesitating problems that I experience on the 300. I assume that this is just the way the Chrysler transmissions are. The Riv had an electronic transmission.

This car had the following options: Prestige Option Pkg. $1,092.00. This included the Twilight Sentinel, Driver lighted vanity mirror, memory door locks, theft deterrent system, cornering lights, automatic dimming inside and outside rearview day/night mirrors, power lumbar support for driver's seat, radio controls on the steering wheel, body side pinstripe, traction control system and universal Homelink transmitter. It also had the supercharged engine for $1,100.00, electric sliding astroroof for $995.00, leather buckets for $750.00, Bright White Diamond paint for $395.00 and memory driver's seat and mirrors for $310.00. The MSRP was $34,757.00 including a destination charge of $640.00.
