Five Step Easy Manicure
Step 1: Use acetone-based remover to remove nail polish. If nails are discolored, dab a cotton bud in hydrogen peroxide and place on each nail for three minutes, then rinse off.
Hint: You can use regular household bleach instead of hydrogen peroxide.
Step 2: Massage some olive oil linto the cuticles and nail. Wipe off excess with a towel.
Hint: If you have the time, warm a bowl of full cream milk in the microwave for 30 seconds. Soak hands for five minutes. Milk is rich in calcium, which strengthens nails and has lactic acid which will gently exfoliate your skin and make it supple. Now you know why Cleopatra bathed in fresh milk!

Step 3: File nails straight across, then gently round the tips. Buff each nail surface for 20 seconds to help the lacquer stick.
Hint: When filing nails, only file one way. Otherwise, you may tear the nail and damage it.
Step 4: Apply a base coat to nails and allow to dry.
Hint: To stop nail polish from bubbling, don't shake the bottle. Instead, turn it upside down and roll it gently between hands.
Step 5: Apply two coats of polish and a top coat.
Hint: When applying the top coat, fold the polish over the edge of the nail to stop the polish from chipping too soon.
