I'm a very shy person, and it took me several tries to set foot inside the meeting room. I found a tolerant, accepting group of people wanting to improve themselves and offering to help others do the same. I now feel confident in speaking situations I used to avoid. I should have joined 15 years before, when I first heard of Toastmasters!

When I was visiting other clubs, I was looking for a club that was well organized, friendly, and enthusiastic. Fantastic Toastmasters was all that, and more. I have been a member of Toastmasters for close to 7 years, and joining this great organization is one of the smartest things I have ever done. Since I have been a member, I have improved my public speaking, listening, organizational skills, and leadership skills, along with my self confidence. When I first joined Toastmasters, I was afraid to get up in front of an audience. It took me at least 3 weeks before I volunteered for Table Topics. Now I look forward to getting up in front of an audience, and I always volunteer for Table Topics. Toastmasters is a place where you can learn in a supportive environment, without being afraid of making mistakes

As an ESL teacher, I find Toastmasters invaluable in helping develop my public speaking confidence. I have been a Fantastic Toastmasters member since November 2002; the enthusiasm and friendliness of the members keep me coming back for more. I am currently serving as the club's Vice President of Education, and I delight in helping members achieve their communication and leadership goals.

I enjoy waking up at 10am every Saturday morning to go to Toastmasters to improve my public speaking skills. But no...seriously, Fantastic Toastmasters is full of fun and good-hearted people who provide a supportive environment to help everyone reach their public speaking goals.

I have been a Fantastic Toastmaster member for six years. The MAGNET that keeps me coming back, is that the members are FRIENDLY, SUPPORTIVE, and they have this tremendous ENTHUSIASM for learning. Besides, we always have FUN. I have grown as a speaker.

Attending Toastmaster meeting has become my every Saturday morning activity since I was a member. The meeting is fun and relaxing. I love table topic (impromptu speech) because the speakers always make me laugh. I never worry about making mistakes when I speak because of my supportive Fantastic club members. I learn my communication skills by giving prepared speeches and taking part in impromptu speech. Toastmaster has a series of speech manuals that match my need either in personal or professional life.

It is a pleasure for me as A-13 Area Governor to watch the Fantastic Toastmasters Club grow fantastically by contributing to the Bay Area community to achieve the following mission of the Toastmasters.

"The mission of the Toastmasters Clubs is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth."

I have personally greatly benefited in my personal and professional life in the following areas.
