Fanja Towers and the old village

Fanja's rich cultural and archaeological heritage reflects hundreds of years of international trade and foreign influences, which can still be experienced throughout the city. The Old Village is  Fanja's most striking cultural landmarks and, together with its towers and the village walls, they have historically been used as defensive bastions or look-out points. There are more than 20 towers scattered across the city.
