Fanja Souq (Market Place)
Fanja has a vibrant souq (Traditional Arabic market place) showcasing a wonderful array of handicrafts - coffee pots, swords, leather goods, silverware, antiques, pottery , dried fish, household utensils and agricultural products. Fanja Souq is the main focal point of the date harvest. Every year from mid-May, the market is inundated with freshly harvested dates, brought by the truckload from Bid Bid, Dima wa' Tayeen, Samad A'Shan, Al Rowdha, Samayil and even Bausher in Muscat Governorate.
