Barefoot dreaming Anyway, I have mostly been home all day, but I did go across to my parents house for lunch, barefoot. I hung the washing barefoot. I checked on the garden barefoot. Tonight we are having dinner with the in-laws, and I will be going barefoot. That's more scary than hanging the washing on hot concrete next to a green ants nest! But hey, I'm turning into a hippy and P seems to still love me, so I'm sure his parents will as well. Like I said we had lunch with my parents today, after P had been helping dad all morning with some work in the yard. Mum put out the most magnificent lunch. We had leftover Christmas ham (more meat, ah!), fresh grape tomatoes and cucumber from the garden, pickles that mum made yesterday, bread, baby beets, an awesome cheese platter and nuts. It may sound like a bizarre combination but it was so delicious. We talked over lunch about our dreams to one day buy an acreage together and start a farm. Ah the good life. |
