For The Love of The Cats
Hi, and welcome to my page on the big cats. I've always thought these creatures were the most intruiging and beautiful ever put on this earth. When all said and done, I want to be a veterinarian for the big cats....so I have many more years of schooling to look forward to but I'm willing to do it.
In this page I'm going to cram as much information and interesting tid bits I can about the big cats (I know it's a lot, but hey, I'll try!). You can also get to know a little more about me and I'll also be sharing some hints and helpful things if you're looking into going to what I am too. So hold on for the ride and start clicking away!!!

Since the page is fairly new, I'm going to start off with just the most well known species of cats, and hopefully over time, I'll be including more and more.
I'll start off by giving you a few basic pieces of information on the tiger, my favorite of the huge felines.  There are five subspecies of tiger remaining today. The Siberian, South China, Indochinese, Bengal, and the Sumatran tiger are the only ones surviving.

The Bali, Caspian, and Javan tiger are already extinct and gone forever.

With all the subspecies put together, there may be, at most, about 7,000 tigers left, including wild and captive. This is why every subspecies of tiger is considered to be greatly endangered.
