The Indochinese and South China Tiger
*Indochinese tiger: Panthera tigris corbetti

*There are about 1,227-1,800 Indochinese tigers left in the world; 60 of those make their homes in zoos in Asia and in the U.S.

*This subspecies of cat is smaller and darker with shorter, narrower stripes than that of the Bengal.

* Males will weigh up to 400 pounds, and the females, 250. The Indochinese tiger's diet is primarily wild deer and wild cattle.
South China Tiger: Panther tigris amoyensis

* The South China tiger is the most greatly endangered tiger in existance with only 20-30 left in the wild and a mere 47 in zoos around the world.

* The last wild tiger of the subspecies was brought into a zoo 20 years ago.

*The stripes on this cat are shorter, broader and wider spaced than the Bengal.

*It's the second smallest sucspecies of tiger weighing in at only 330 pounds for a male and 240 for a female.
