The Wrath Of Cortex

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath Of Cortex is the latest PS game in theCrash series. Naturally, I had to check it out. This is a PS2 game, and the graphics meet the expectations. In my opinion, it is the second best Crash game, after Crash 3.
The storyline is as follows. Uka Uka and Neo Cortex are out to defeat Crash using a bandicoot called Crunch and 4 Elemental masks. Thats pretty much it. Crunch is the only boss, but each time has different powers due to a different Elemental mask. Former bosses Tiny, Dingodile, N Tropy, and N Gin return, but only appear at select games and not as bosses. At first, I thought the idea of Crunch being the only boss was dumb, but actually it was kind of cool. There really isnt that much to say. New areas to explore, new villains to defeat.
The objectives are pretty much the same as Crash 3. Get crystals, gems, and relics. There is a new kind of relic added, as well as a new power to sneak over Nitro crates. There is one major thing about the game that I found to be annoying. It really takes a long time to load. I mean, a really long time. I might have considered it to be a better game than Crash 3 if not for that one problem. Well, maybe they will fix it in the next installment.
If you can handle the one problem I mentioned, and like Crash games, this is a good game to buy. It is a real fun game. Also I would like to add that I still nave not beaten the game, because I am stuck on a particularly hard boss level in which Crunch uses all Elemental masks.
