OUR BORROW PITS Through the years of our highway construction one has seen many pits along side of the roads where earth was "borrowed" to fill in here and there in our progress. Just as true are voids left along the side of our lives where someone has borrowed a touch of love, care, affection and monetary embodiment to satisfy their needs. In life as well as in our highway construction, these pits have never been repaired, refilled or smoothed over -- just mere cosmetic surgery done with promises of a later correction of the matter. But is it ever really corrected? I say not. We keep on borrowing until there are deep scars along our roads and trenches which are seemingly irreparable in our lives. Isn't it time we start correcting these "Borrow Pits" and get on and enjoy the beauty of our highways and our lives as we were meant to by our Great Creator?
