| The Modernist Era started approximately from 1860 to 1970. The Origin of the word modern comes from the ideology of abandoning the social world in favor of its narcissistic interest in language and its process. Modernism usually begins from the Renaissance period, where we first found the notion that man not God is the measure of all things. The main purpose of modernism was base on the idea that man is able to think, search, interpret physical and mental aspects of life (Let them think). The Modern Era can be defined given by the church; instead they were base on scientific and analytic reasons and results. Regarding this way of thinking many philosophers adopted the belief that "The truth shall set you free." The concept of freedom became meaningful to the vision of a new society (A society from the preassure exerted by church). In systhesis we can say that the Modernist Era started because of the desire of people to succed without the church's influence. |
