Defore mate for life. The bond between 'husband' and 'wife' is sacred, but not to the extend of the Amuni. Defore can take another mate if there is a rift between a pair, or one of them dies. They won't take multiple mates, or 'harems', as some Euclide are known to do. Defore give birth to 1-3 live young at a time. This number is determined by a dice roll. Once the babies are drawn up, we'll give you a choice of one free bebe. The rest will be available for adoption through the forum. In the case of one cub, and two owners, a coin flip will be used to determine which parent keeps the cub. If neither parent desires it, it will be available for adoption. If there are 2+ cubs, and Mem so desires to keep one, she's allowed take first pick. They are, after all, her work. Breeding between two different types is the most common way to produce Patchwork Defore. This is an uncommon occurance, as Patchwork are rare, and not so desirable as far as perfected bloodlines come. To determine whether or not an Amunu will be patchwork, we roll a die again. 6 indicates patchwork, 1-5 will have the Euclide share the trait of either the mother or the father (Which is determined by a coin toss. Heads = Mother, Tails = Father). Same sex pairings can mate and produce offspring, but it is a rare and unusual occurance. Same sex mating is also somewhat 'taboo' in Ciondre culture, therefore the pair will usually be shunned. Ninidia are much more open to same sex matings. Both Male/Male and Female/Female couples can produce offspring. Keep in mind that Mem is allowed to turn down any breeding she wants. If Mem decides not to allow two Defore to produce offspring, she probably has a reason for it. As breeding is free, you are not allowed to whine to her about it afterwards. Mem is currently not allowing breedings between different species (Eg. Euclides/Amuni, Euclides/Defore, Amuni/Defore). These have been done before, and traits from Amuni and Euclides may show up in Defore (pupiless eyes, for instance), but Mem is not allowing it to be done 'officially' as of yet.
