1. Is it true that ETC is only for the employees of PT Pupuk Kaltim Tbk. and their families?

It's definitely not true. Anyone can join ETC. Some of our students come from any other schools, including Vidatra, YABIS, and any other schools. Our private programs even offer the possibility for people in general to learn English based on their needs in ore flexible time and place.

2. When can new participants enroll in ETC?

Usually, we accept new students in June and July. The purpose is to make it easier to place the students in the appropriate classes and levels. Yet, we also accept students in the later time, with the condition that the new participants must take the placement test (to know the best lever for them) and the class for them are available.

For the English for Professional Program, the enrollment will be based on the contract or agreement of the two parties (ETC and the company).

For the Private classes, people can simply register anytime.

3. Does ETC administer TOEFL test? If it does, what are the requirements?

Yes, we do. There are 2 kinds of TOEFL test that we administer: TOEFL Prediction and ITP (Institutional Testing Program) TOEFL. TOEFL Prediction test is held by our intern institution. The certificate for this TOEFL can be used to fulfill the requirements for job promotion or local study. To fulfill the requirements of international study, we suggest ITP TOEFL. This test is established with the cooperation between ETC and IIEF (The Indonesian International Education Foundation). For more information, you can just contact our phone number.

4. Is it true that ETC has Private Program? Who is it for? What are the requirements to enroll in this program?

5. How many campuses does ETC have right now? Where are they?

We have 3 campuses now. The first one is in Pusdiklat Building of PT Pupuk Kaltim, on the third floor. This campus is mainly used for the English for professional Program classes. The second campus is on DahliaStreet PC VI Pt. Pupuk Kaltm (Near SMA YPK). This is the main building for our general activities. The last one, on Gunung Kelud street Number 2, is our newest campus, is only used for the students who live in the area of BSD (Bukit sekatup Damai).

6. What is special about the UAN Preparation program offered by ETC? How is it different from other similar programs offered by other institutions?

UAN Preparation Program, offered by our institution, is a lot different from the same programs offered by other institutions. Here are the differences. First, we do not only compile the questions from the previous UAN tests, but also explain the skills and strategies needed to succeed the test. Second, we follow the latest formulation of the test which mainly consists of 2 parts: listening and reading,. We provide the examples and practices that really relate to the test, especially in the listening comprehension part. Third, our references are on the standardized tests, such as TOEFL, TOEIC, and UAN itself. So, the preparation will be even better.
