Directions to CREAR within the D.R by vehicle.:
Seven (7) hours from Santo Domingo
Four (4) hours from Santiago
One (1) hour from Loma de Cabrera
Accompanied by an up-to-date road map of D.R., the following directions will
bring you to Rio Limpio and CREAR:
From the capital of Santo Domingo, take the main highway (Autopista Duarte, Ruta # 1 Oeste)
leaving the city towards Santiago. This highway will pass through the city of Santiago and
will eventually bring you to the entrance to the city of Esperanza. Turn left of the highway
towards Esperanza, and follow the signs towards the city of Mao and Route # 18 West.
Passing through Mao, take Route #18 West, which will take you through the towns of Santiago
Rodriguez, Los Almacigos, and Partido. Route # 18 will end in the town of Santiago de La
Cruz, where you will turn left onto Route # 45 South. Follow this route towards the town of
Loma de Cabrera. Approximately 13 kilometers after the town of Loma de Cabrera,
turn left off of the paved road where there is a sign for Rio Limpio. Follow this unpaved
road for approximately 13 more kilometers until you arrive in the town of Rio Limpio.
CREAR is located next to the Rio Valle, going downhill from the public high-school
(anyone in the town can be asked about the center´s location).
