SInce students will be learning about our nations history through buildings, statues, monuments, and symbols, I only thought it fair that students take a look into the history of the place they live.  This assignment will help students have a better understanding of their neighborhood.  There are three portions to this assignment.

Section 1: Community Collage

Scavenger Hunt Collage Rubric

Section 2: Community Paper

Paper Rubric

Section 3: Community Presentation

Oral Presentation Rubric

Students: Look at the rubrics for each section of the assignment.  These were given to you to help you achieve the best grade possible.  Since you have access to a paper copy (hard copy) and a copy on the Internet, I should not hear on the day of the presentation that you did not know how to receive a good grade.  Use these wisely.  Feel free to access them at anytime.  Criteria sheets will also be added online incase you loose your hard copy.
