| The World Trade Center in NYC has been devastated. The Pentagon has had a portion hit and collapse. The United States of America is under attack. Turn on the TV, folks. No, that isn't someone playing a sick video game and broadcasting it; it is real. The question is, what can we do about it? How does the common American citizen cope with something none of us ever thought possible? There are 266 people dead, on the jets used as flying bombs alone. Possibly twenty thousand or more in the rubble that used to be WTC #1 & #2. And more yet in the rubble of the Pentagon. Why? Anyone with half a brain knew already, from events in other countries, that terrorism is a very real possibility and a very real threat. Unfortunately, all of America had the mindset of "It can't happen to us.". Well folks... Here's your wake-up call. I urge all of you to go out as soon as you can and do what you can to help. Donate blood at your local Red Cross, especially if you are blood type O. Go to your local Goodwill or Salvation Army and donate money. Write to your statesmen, and show that you're not going to stand for these attacks on the US soil. Write to your local newspaper, and show your opinions. All of these things will bring us together against the common evil. And what IS that common evil, anyways? Is it the Al Quaida group, headed by billionaire Osama bin Laden? All evidence at this time points to him. Or, perhaps an upstart group looking for instant fame? Well, in my opinion, bin Laden is the only bastard out there that has the intelligence, funding, and troops to pull off something like this. It also have some of the Al Quaida's signatures all over it, specifically in the cohesion in which the attacks were pulled off. Which brings me to another point... News is showing that all four airlines hijacked were taken by groups of 3-5 armed with knives. KNIVES, people! That in itself shows that airline security MUST be tightened. Many of you probably don't know that there are polymer knives out there just as lethal as a normal knife, but with no metal whatsoever. And even beyond that, I can hardly believe that 67-130some people on an airline would ALLOW this to happen. I mean, with terrorists in a hijacking, if you are on that plane you can almost reserve yourself to the fact that you ARE GOING TO DIE. So what is stopping someone on any of those flights from making a goddamn difference? Even with 5 armed with knives, the odds are against them if 60some brave though unarmed people swarm them. Most Americans are pacifists, and that needs to change. This is a sad day for us. It will be very satisfying to me when there is clear evidence pointing to the culprit in this, and war is officially declared. It will be very satisfying to see the ENTIRE WORLD mobilize against a common enemy. Isreal is with us. Germany is with us. France is with us. There are more which I cannot think of at this time, but besides that, the most powerful military in the world is mobilized for war. Are YOU with us?
