Ski Trak  Developer of Dry Slope Facilities.  U.K

There are two primary types of dry slopes. Stationary mats and
rotating;(Moving Mountains, Magic Carpets, Ski Machines, Ski Decks )
as they are sometimes called.A conveyor type rolling carpet powered by an electric motor. The simulator replicates movement over snow via a specially coated Nylon carpet and a modified ski or snowboard base ( Nylatron ). This allows you to carve as if on one-half
inch of freshly groomed packed powder snow.
The carpet nap is usually very dense creating positive resistance. The positive resistance forces the skier or rider to carve turns and learn consistent edging, pressure, steering and biomechanics.
Skiers and Riders of all abilities will see their skills advance quickly through these goal-orientated programs based on progressive instruction techniques.

Beginners – Learn to use your equipment in a warm, comfortable setting. Discover the basics of stopping, turning, and more in preparation for a fun day in the snow.

Intermediate – If you understand the basics of skiing or snowboarding, lessons will help you develop the skills necessary to become more advanced. Learn to carve turns with a quiet upper body, which will help you to be more efficient, use less energy and have better control.

Advanced – Refine your skills while getting a great work-out with exercises for bumps, steeps, powder and racing. Top racers use the revolving carpet to hone their edge sensitivity, improve muscle memory, and to develop fast and agile reflexes. John Mosley started on a deck in California, Look where it took him. Bob Howard, a World Champion acro-freestyle skier, also maximizes training on a deck.

Why learn or practice on a Deck?
1.) Time efficiency:  Learn on a deck then enjoy your time on
the Mountain No lift lines or waiting.
2.) Comfort:   The weather is always consistent indoors, no wind holds.
3.) Feedback:   Watch every turn improve in the mirror, video replay or
audible suggestions as you ski or snowboard.
4.) Instruction:  Learn from a experienced professional instructor.
5.) Enjoyment: skiing or boarding 4 seasons of the year.
6.) Safety:  A safety harness option, allows you to learn without falling.
7.) Mileage / verticle:  Ski / snowboard a mile every 10-15 mins.
     10,000+ vertical feet hr.

Ski decks are an EXCELLENT all seasons tool. You will learn (  quickly ), practice (  efficiently ) and have endless fun. You will build endurance concurrently while mastering precise technique or you will "Kiss the Deck"

Many Thanks to Greg Linde & Bob "The Devil" for years of fun on the Mothership Moving Mountain.
Thanks To: Kent Bry, Tim Kott, Sam Morishima, Brian O'Connor My -"ENDLESS WINTER"- wouldn't be the same without your slopes.
