Ages Served:  Children who are potty trained and are no longer using training pants at all may be enrolled in Eagles Nest Academy's preschool.  They will be enrolled in the Beginner Class and will advance through the program when the appropriate skills are mastered.  School age students will be enrolled in appropriate classes according to age and grade requirements.
Before and after school care is FREE for all  preschool age children attending Eagles Nest Academy.

Beginner Class:  This class is designed to meet the needs of children who are attending Eagles Nest Academy for the first time.  They will become familiar with the school's structure and various activities.  Beginner Class children will learn the phonetic sound for each letter of the alphabet, learn to identify, count, and write the  numbers 1 through 15, sing, recite poetry, enjoy music and crafts, as well as participate in individual and group play.

Intermediate Class: This is the next step in mastering reading, writing, and arithmetic. Here, letters are put together to make blends and then words.  Children will begin writing letters along with their names. They will also be introduced to simple addition. As children enter this class, they are grouped according to ability rather than age

Advanced Class:  Once a child has mastered reading short vowel words he or she is promoted to the advanced class. They will begin reading more smoothly as they learn to read two vowel words. More time is also spent on developing advanced writing and math skills. Songs, games, and poetry are an intricate part of all preschool classes and are used regularly.

Elementary Classes:  Students enrolled in kindergarten through sixth grade will benefit from a classical approach to education with a Christian perspective.  SAT tests will be taken in April every year. Before and after school care is available for elementary students at an additional cost.

Attendance:  Attendance is taken each day for all classes.  Children may come and go throughout the day as needed in the preschool, our program is designed with such flexibility in mind.    Elementary students need to remain for the academic portion of each day.  All children are allowed to arrive when the school opens and remain until closing if necessary.

Arrival & Departure: All arrivals and departures will be only through the school's main entrance and in the presence of a qualified staff member.  Children may be dropped off after 6:30 AM and picked up any time before closing.  Every child must be signed out prior to leaving.   Only those listed on the application will be allowed to take the child from school, identification will be required by office staff.  In the case of children going home with friends, notes are needed from both sets of parents. Children are to remain with their parent or guardian when leaving the building to help insure the safety of the child in the parking lot.

Emergencies:  If an emergency arises and an unlisted person is sent to pick up a child, parent must notify Eagles Nest in writing if possible, giving identifying information.  A driver's license or other picture identification will be required.
