 Horwich Vs Elton

09.03.02

This was going to be another hard match especially playing with a depleted squad. The weather wasn't going to help as it was pouring down, blowing a gale and very cold. The Goalies had to keep moving in these appalling conditions. Horwich were the first to score in the opening minutes of the start. Elton replied with a well taken goal from B Maxwell. Horwich soon replied with a few goals as they dominated the first half.

The second half saw a change of goalies with Ryan hunter going between the sticks to let Dale warm up. Matt's team talk at half time must have done the world of good as they looked a completely different team. Luc, Ben and George Rimmer were unlucky not to score on several occasions but were thwarted by the Horwich keeper. George cotton had a good game in defence and was a well deserved Man of the Match for Elton.
