Collected here are recommendations and web addresses (when possible) for a selection of fanfics, including Harry Potter, various anime fandoms, various historical fandoms, and the odd X-Men fic. Both fiction containing het (heterosexual relationships) and fiction containing slash/yaoi (same sex relationships) are featured here.

This recs page is organized into several smaller sections for the convenience of the viewer. (All right, all right. It's not for your convenience, it's so that the PWP fics will not be on the same page as the rest, thus avoiding any potential indignation.) Fiction is sorted by genre into eight different pages, which are updated rather less frequenty than they should be. Each section is named after a food. Some of the names are fairly obvious puns, some are only clever in Elspeth's head.
A word to the wise: Since Elspethdixon is a polyamourus fangirl and likes both slash and het, male/male and male/female relationships can and do show up in almost all rec catagories, right alongside gen fics. Only smutty PWPs and fics that are predominently romantic in nature have their own special sections.

Mixed Nuts:
We have cashews, pistachios, pecans� Humour fic ranging from sardonic irony, to outright parody, to flat-out ridiculousness.
Spoonbread:
Long fics too wide-ranging to be labeled angst or romance. They�re a complete meal in and of themselves, just like Southern cornmeal souffl�.
Key Lime Pie:
Slash romance rated G-through-R. Because "lime" is an old school anime-fic term for mushy guy-on-guy stuff, so it's a lame pun, and... nevermind.
Hard Lemonade:
Pr0n. Smut. Erotica... You get the picture. Slash and the occasional het NC-17 fic. Plot? What Plot?
Vanilla Coke:
Het romance rated G-through-R.
Cotton Candy:
Fluffy and sweet, and occasionally slightly sticky. Happy, cute, or tender stories that leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Dark Chocolate:
Angst, angst, and more angst, with a side of guilt. Everything from mental anguish to hurt/comfort to torture.
Smithfield Ham:
Salty, strong, and very much an acquired taste. Angst fics with an NC-17 rating and/or graphic non-con.
