ABOUT ME
reading Dr. Suess as a Student Teacher in 2006
First year teacher?  Yes.
Wet behind the ears? Certainly Not.

With over 15 years experience as a preschool teacher and Childcare Center Director I don't consider myself new to the teaching field.  To me, there is nothing I'd rather do, so I made it official.  I graduated in May of 2006 from the University of Mississippi!  As a mother of three sons, it was a gradual process that took me many years to complete.  I was also a teacher assistant at Horn Lake Elementary School for two years.  I student taught at Shadow Oaks Elementary School under Tamabra McClinton in first grade.  I have also worked as a summer camp coordinator for school age children in addition to the field experiences with 3rd and 7th grades.
I feel honored and very fortunate to be in the classroom and look forward to having a great year. The student is the most important aspect of my classroom.  I aim to meet and greet the individual needs of my students. Please feel free to contact me with any comments or concerns you may have throughout the year.  Together, we can help your child have a successful year of learning!
