The page for me can be as weird as I want it to be, right?  So here we go.  All of the old Allison talks sections are here.

#23: Today is March 16th and the 2nd day of Spring Break.  Tomorow afternoon Anne and I are leaving for Missouri and Ohio, where we plan to visit several of the universities I have applied to.  Yesterday we worked on Francis, which is now offically titled Wit's End.  We have the first half of scene 4 rough cut, but unfortunatly we are missing quite a few clips so we will have to wrap up our filming soon so that we can complete it.  ITHOP has exciting news, we were able to burn a bunch of copies last weekend and are hoping to have another half dozen or so done before we leave town.  I'm going to try and create adhesive covers for the tops of the disks and create a picture for the CD case, after which we will begin selling the DVDs for $2.00.  We had some preorders, but I'm not sure whether most of them are still good, so I'm going to have to try and advertise some.  I'm not sure what we'll use the money for, probably costumes and more blank DVDs.  I can't wait until Wit's End is done.  After watching ITHOP again, I am amazed at how far we've come.
#24: I just updated the Allison Talks Archive, and it is painful.  I think I'll redesign it this summer so that I don't have to relink all of the pages every time I overflow the most recent archive page.  I've been reading other people's reports on their web pages, and I think that there are probably easier ways to do this.  Anyway, I'm mostly here because I haven't updated anything on this site in an age.  Today is Tuesday the 7th the 14th of April. (look at the Bobism and the Tuesdayians link if that confuses you)  For my web developement class, I have been designing a site to showcase our short films and talk about our work.  It will be much more proffessional than this site is, and I will link to it once it's posted.  Through this project, I think that I have learned enough to build a web comic hosted through keenspace if I had the right software, and a comic to post.  But I've drawn a lot this year, so maybe I'll be able to pull something together.  Last but not least, I would like to thank Drama Club for keeping me mostly sane on Mondays.  I would never have gotten this far without you.
#24: The house is silent, save for the air conditioning humming and my own breathing.  Anne is out with friends celebrating the last night of Dinner Show.  Dad is taking down decorations in the gym, and Emmie is asleep upstairs.  I am sitting in the basement with my brand new copy of Zombies Calling, the book that I am hoping will finally pull me out of the creative slump I've been in ever since I stopped filming Wit's End.  I want to do this as a movie.  There are two clips that I think will be problematic, but I think we can work it out, and then we would also need a hord of Zombies, but I think we can find enough interested high school students to pull it off...
In my philosophy class the other day, we were talking about the meaning of life and whether or not it is necessary to have other people in order to live a meaningful life.  I say yes.  I need people, much as I hate to say it some times.  I need my sister to come home so that I can share my excitement and get her opinions.  I need to loan the book to my cast and crew so that they can give me feedback.  If I didn't have people, I don't know how I would survive.  I know I wouldn't be sane right now.  So if you are reading this, you are probably one of those people who makes life worth living.  Thank you.  I don't think I could do it without you.
#25: Today is June 11th, and it's been about a month sence I last updated.  I'm going to try and update again toward the end of the month, but then you'll be on your own until late July, because I'll be in China.  Updating has become difficult lately, because my school laptop is gone, my old laptop doesn't run the latest version of flash, and our basement computer is suspicious of Geocitis and won't let it run Page Builder.  However, late in July I am planning on giving the site a massive makeover, editing the pages I linked from our homepage and making them the site.  Before that I need to do some software stuff and get some things together, so I really suspect that it will be late July or August.  Anyway...
Work on Wit's End contines at a crawl.  Anne and Megan and I are Camp Councilers, so we're busy from 8:00-4:30 every day this week and thus are unable to get much done.  Plus, Anne and I have been having a lot of conflict lately, which makes it difficult to be constructive.  It looks like there will be no new project this summer. :(
I am so tired.  I just want my fairy godmother to wave a wand and make my brain work again.  I think it's broken, and I don't know how to fix it.
#26 (Writen by Anne): Today is July 10th, Allison asked me to do this for her when she first left for China, but  I competly forgot about it, so here I am filling you in.  Allison is in China teaching English to Chinese students at a camp.  She seems to be having a great experience and we're all trilled for her.  She has daily Travel Log Notes posted on Facebook so if you are curious about the China shenanagians look there.  I've made a fair amount of progress editing Wit's End footage this past week and hope to have everything ruff cut very soon. Two days ago I posted I'm on My Way- Aborable Kitten to YouTube.  This is just a silly little video comprised of footage of Elspeth when she was itty bitty, put to the tune of the Proclaimer song I'm on My Way.  I advise you all go and watch it.  I'm am also determined to post the Wit's End trailer to YouTube within the next several days so that it can be viewed some other place than just the new site.  Other news: this Friday is the first performance of the  Hays Public Drama Club's James Bond, it should be fanatastic, just not as fanatastic as The Complete Harry Potter in under half an hour from last summer.  I'm sure Allison will post a new update soon after returning from China so check back in two weeks.

#27: Working out computer compatability issues.  Geocities doesn't like my mac much.  But that's ok, as I hope not to need geocities for our website for too much longer.  I am still planning on redoing some stuff on this site this summer, but it's currently 1:26 in the morning and I'm not at the house that has the one computer that geocities will cooperate with.  So hopefully I will do that soon.  A warning though, if it doesn't happen by friday, it wont happen until August.  Please ignore any crazier than usual stuff on this page until then.
